CYIA™ - A Summer Missions Program
How are you spending your summer? As relaxing as it may be to enjoy your summer break at the pool or hang out with friends, what if you chose instead to make an eternal impact in the lives of kids right where you live? Teens and college age students from Metro Nashville and all across Tennessee are coming together to reach the boys and girls right here in your state and local community– and YOU can be a part of this team!
What is CYIA?
Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is exactly what it sounds like – Christian youth actively involved in making a difference in the lives of America’s 50 million unchurched children! CYIA is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. Every year, two-thirds of all children under the age of 14 never attend church or Sunday School. You can make an eternal difference in the lives of these children by serving as a CYIA summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship, leading and teaching 5-Day Clubs.
What are 5-Day Clubs?
How does it work?
The Training Program: The summer begins with one week of specialized training at Linden Valley Conference Center in Linden, TN (May 25-30, 2025). Young people, ages 12 through early college, learn how to share the Gospel using the Wordless Book. Summer missionaries are also trained to teach Bible lessons, memory verses, missionary stories, songs, and games. It is both meaningful AND fun!
The Mission Trip: After returning home, you will put this training to good use, working with your fellow summer missionaries to lead 5-Day Clubs for a few weeks in your local area. The exact weeks that you serve and number of clubs per week will vary based upon how your team comes together and the availability of ministry locations in your local area.

NOTE TO PARENTS:
We want to assure you that we will take good care of your children. CEF directors and other staffers lead all of our training, and we will be with them every step of the way. We also endeavor to select ministry locations that are safe and manageable. Even though 5-Day Clubs are led by CYIA summer missionaries, there will be fully-screened adults assisting and providing “back-up” as needed. Please feel free to contact me personally with any questions!
